Art Resource Guide

The Appalachian Region is a 200,000-square-mile area that follows the spine of the Appalachian Mountains from southern New York to northern Mississippi. It includes all of West Virginia and parts of 12 other states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

This art resource guide lists all of the pastel art resources that we were able to locate to date in the Appalachian Region. If you have information about other art resources for pastel artists in the region, please notify the Webmaster of this web site and we will add them to our art resource guide.

Ohio Appalachian Artist Directory
A publicly searchable listing of artists that live and work in or near Ohio’s Appalachian region. The Directory provides access to and communication among Ohio’s many Appalachian artists and arts organizations.

Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society
Formed November 2004 to promote artistic fellowship, raise public awareness of pastel as an artistic medium, enhance creative painting with pastels, and offer educational activities that foster growth.
